This park is located approximately 12 miles northwest from the center of Janesville. Take Hwy 14 west from Janesville for approximately 7 miles; turn right (north) on Eagle Road. Travel three miles north to Gibbs Lake Road. Turn left (west) and travel 1/2 mile to park entrance.

Gibbs Lake County Park is 299 acres in size, enclosing 3/4 of the shoreline of Gibbs Lake and the north half of the shoreline of Little Gibbs Lake.

Gibbs Lake Park features a hiking and cross-country ski trail, bridle path, boat landing and launching area, and a parking lot. In an effort to keep the park neat and clean, litter barrels are provided. Drinking water, toilets, picnic tables, and grills are also provided. All trails are defined with red/white signs on marker posts.

The cross-country ski trail has been designed for the novice and intermediate skier, but also provides an excellent opportunity for the advanced skier to sharpen and refine skills and build stamina. The ski trail is not groomed. All trails are open to the public every day from dawn to dusk. No night skiing is permitted in the interest of safety.

Parking for horse trailers is permitted in the equestrian parking lot only.
