What is Maternal, Child, and Family Health?

The Maternal, Child, and Family Health unit works to improve the health and well-being of women, infants, children, and families in Rock County.

What do we do?

We collaborate with many partners, such as community members, county programs, community-based organizations, and local coalitions, to improve the health and well-being of Rock County women, children, and their families. We work with these partners to improve health status and help end preventable deaths among all women, children, and adolescents.

Why does it matter to Rock County?

When we see improved birth outcomes and more Rock County babies celebrate their first birthday, our county is a healthier place to start a healthier life. Healthy children have better school attendance and typically do better in school. Healthy families help support a healthy workforce and ultimately a better quality of life.
