Deputy Sheriff Requirements

• Minimum 18 years of age
• Valid Drivers License with good driving record
• No Felony Convictions
• High School Diploma or G.E.D
• Minimum of 60 College Credits
• Applicants must successfully complete a written exam, oral examination, extensive police background investigation, psychological exam, and medical exam that includes a cardiovascular fitness test, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
• Visual acuity correctable to 20/20 with glasses or contacts

Correctional Officer Requirements

• Minimum 18 years of age
• Valid Drivers License with good driving record
• No Felony Convictions
• High School Diploma or G.E.D
• Associates Degree -OR- Minimum of two years Military Service -OR- Minimum of two years full-time work experience
• Applicants must successfully complete a written exam, oral examination, extensive police background investigation, and medical exam that includes a cardiovascular fitness test, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
• Visual acuity correctable to 20/20 with glasses or contact lenses
