If you need help with substance use disorder treatment, call 211 or (608) 757-5025 (Rock County 24-Hour Crisis & Connections Line) or visit the Shatterproof Treatment Atlas.

Overdose prevention is any effort to reduce the occurrence of substance-involved deaths and overdoses in our community through prevention, harm reduction, and treatment.

Hope Kits

Hope Kits are pre-packaged resources that help increase access to life-saving supplies for individuals struggling with substance use. Each kit contains nasal NARCAN®, which can reverse an opioid overdose; fentanyl test strips, which detect the presence of fentanyl; a CPR face shield, substance disposal packets, and a resource card. Hope Kits are available to people who are at risk for overdose and are distributed by first responders and emergency departments.

Safer Use Supplies

Safer use is a harm reduction strategy that provides supplies to those who use substances to help reduce the health risks associated with substance use. Common safer use supplies include NARCAN®, fentanyl test strip kits, and clean syringes.
