The Rock County Sheriff's Office hosts three Cops & Bobbers youth fishing events each summer in partnership with the Cops and Kids Foundation.
The Cops and Kids Foundation is an area nonprofit organization whose programs and services provide law enforcement with the tools necessary to implement award-winning community service.
The primary goal of Cops & Bobbers is to teach kids how to fish. Cops & Bobbers aims to get kids hooked on fishing rather than drugs and crime. During the event, youth participants fish alongside cops and other Sheriff's Office staff.
Participation
Each event, there are twenty (20) spots available for kids age 7-12. These spots fill on a first come basis. Any parent or guardian wishing to register their kid(s) should complete the registration form below under Upcoming Cops & Bobbers Events. The Sheriff's Office announces events approximately a month before the event date. Follow the Rock County Sheriff's Office Facebook Page for event announcements.
Life jackets, fishing supplies, and a meal will be provided during the event. Registered youth participants will also receive an event t-shirt. These events are free to participants due to the generosity of sponsors.

Sponsorship
The Rock County Sheriff's Office is seeking sponsorships for the Cops & Bobbers Program. Any local business or individual can make a financial or in-kind donation to support Cops & Bobbers. Contact us to learn more.
Why Sponsor
- Sponsorships give local children the chance to learn how to fish.
- As a primary sponsor, your logo/name will receive priority placement on Cops & Bobbers materials, including t-shirts, equipment, and gift bags. You can also provide company banners for display at the event.
- Participants receive gift bags at each event. These gift bags can contain small promotional products, coupons, fliers, and/or catalogs from your company.
- Our Cops & Bobbers events garner positive media attention and are frequented by news and print media.
- If you choose to donate equipment and/or products, our participants and volunteers will be able to use those items in real-life experiences during the event.
- We greatly appreciate our sponsors and recognize their donations with written thank you letters and social media shout-outs.
